I've acquired a Example 580 loader/backhoe recently only can't narrow downwards what exactly it is. She wasn't the best looking daughter at the trip the light fantastic toe, but she's the one who went dwelling house with me.:pointhead (front grill missing intentionally) DSCN0511.jpg

And then, I went to NAPA to get a hydraulic filter for this tractor, which was told to me to be a Case 580B. Bring the filter habitation and it does non fit, besides large. Took the sometime filter back and they matched it upwardly to be a 580CK. Here's the filter housing:
    DSCN0521.jpg

Too, bought an air filter at the aforementioned time which fit my backhoe, the aforementioned 580B. NAPA said there was not an air filter for the 580CK that they could get when I went back to get the replacement hydraulic filter.

Here is the "non easily read" serial number below the instrument gauges. It reads:
    580BCK
    87427??
    DSCN0516.jpg

Hither is another "non easily read" serial number on the driver side frame. Information technology reads:
    580B
    5293265

    Here'south a backhoe moving-picture show that says it's a Case CK

    DSCN0515.jpg

So, my question is...Is this a 580B, 580CK, or a 580BCK? Or "D" all of the higher up? I've got some other picture show to follow this, since I uploaded my maximum of 5 pictures hither, that says it's a 580B on the side, higher up the engine.

    DSCN0518.jpg

And some other of the instrument cluster just left of the wheel, I know 1 or two are not original.

Any help is appreciated on what I've got

  3. You asked "Is this a 580B, 580CK, or a 580BCK? Or "D" all of the above?" and the answer is, yous have a 580B tractor. The CK stands for Construction Male monarch, which I ever assumed meant that it had the loader/backhoe option. When looking for parts, 580B should be sufficient. If you're looking for parts for just the loader/hoe it'southward a Instance model 35. There are several online dealers with first-class parts lists and exploded views - my personal favorite is Messick's. Nonetheless, I rarely if ever buy parts from the dealer. Do a search for Case 580B on eBay and you'll have a boatload, but the all-time place online by far is TractorStuff - they've got a groovy selection of new, NOS, and aftermarket parts, swell prices, and they're wonderful people to work with.

By the way, the elevation two gauges shown in the last pic are original - the lesser two are not.

Oh, and one last thing - you've come up to the right place - this forum is the best place to get aid with your project. Earlier you go a bigger hammer, inquire.

    Welcome!

  4. She's a cute one!

Papa Goose is correct, it's a 580B CK with a Model 35 Loader and Backhoe.

Your serial falls into a range I believe makes information technology a 1974 (8736601 to 8770000).

    Other serial locations f.y.i.:

Tractor Serial should exist on the steering column on the right while seated.

Engine series should be beneath the ability steering pump.

Loader serial should be on the hydraulic reservoir where yous stride onto the machine.

Hoe serial should be near the left outrigger on the side.

The housing you evidence (backside the grill) is the shuttle manual filter. Should be a NAPA 1518

The hydraulic filter is near the right side loader pin and may have a pressure estimate on it. Unscrews from the bottom.

Your auto has the anti vandalism kit and looks to have had the noise reduction kit also.

Information technology'southward also been painted at least in one case and appears to have the larger front end counter weight.

Like Papa Goose said ask here beginning!

  5. If y'all don't mind waiting for UPS, the all-time place I've found for filters is Action Car Supply in Norwalk, Ohio. They have auctions on eBay and specialize in Wix filters, which I think are pretty decent quality. I sent them a list of the filters I needed for my 580B and they put together an auction for that particular set at a groovy toll. Even sent me a Wix lid. Ask for Mike Reilly - very helpful guy.

FYI - Action Machine Supply goes past aautosupply on eBay.

  6. Pappa Goose is correct Tractor stuff and this web folio can help you fix anything on that backhoe... But enquire.
PS thank you for the info about filters. I demand to replace all of mien when I change
    the oil next week.

Thanks for all the info, I run into where my NAPA error was. I was thinking the filter on the front of the tractor was for all the hydraulics, instead it's merely for the tranny.

I've checked tractorstuff earlier, they accept alot of inventory, I only wish they had online ordering. I bought some differential brake parts from EPS (equipment parts source), and they were very quick in getting my order likewise me.

Looks alot like the 580b I just picked up, well bought anyway. Picking it upwards once I get the replacement starter installed next calendar week. Non certain of the yr of mine either, got to bank check the series number and see.
  9. Looks similar y'all have an 'R' stamped on the right side of the tractor decal plate. If then there'due south a good chance information technology'south a Rockwell shuttle, unless inverse. I've seen forepart grills made out of catwalk, I believe it'south chosen, works well if yours is missing. Phil:)
  10. I accept a 580B very similar yours. It was squeamish to read all the response you got from this forum. I accept been using mine for nigh ix years now on my property and its been a very useful and dependable machine. I just started having a tranny problem and found this forum searching for info. Sounds similar a lot of very nice and helpful people out there. Cant expect to become my post up get her back up and moving. Good luck with your new hoe...
  11. Just to let anybody know, I called Action Auto Supply. They don't have an ebay store anymore, they set up the ebay store to get rid of some inventory from buying out another store.
There prices are comparable to most places. Although better than Napa online!

Probably the best identify to become filters online would exist www.fleetfilter.com

  12. hi guys its me again, i accept the aforementioned problem the part here is i cant encounter whatsoever number in plates, and so im wondering where is the chassis the dice number
  13. Phil, I'g new to the backhoe world, I'm picking one up and it has the "R" stamped on the plate ... I"m wondering if it does have the Rockwell shuttle you speak of, is information technology a good or bad thing? Thank you for any help!!
  14. FYI the tractor series number is usually stamped on the radiator mount on the left side.
  15. I cant tell u the year just I can unremarkably tell u what u have.. simply by the inj. pump #'s..
That being said.. its not uncommon to replace an inj. pump due west/ another off a "parts machine"..
cuz simply like everything else.. "it looked the same"..
  16. I as well take been getting some conflict with obtaining the correct parts for my recently caused, what I believe to be, 580 Super L CK. Not certain why it is then hard to find a site that would easily give info (year/model/series/options) base on the serial number, since information technology so important for maintenance reasons. Can anyone mail service info or have a link to such a site that has an caption of the Case serial number digits in any detail? ????

  17. Are yous saying that you are not sure if you do in fact have a 580SL ?
Do you have the serial number available ?
It should expect something like ASN JJG02XXXXX.
  18. Well I think it is a 580SL merely it has been repainted and new stickers and so at this point I am taking the discussion of the seller until I can confirm. I have a series 2 parts book considering information technology was the most bachelor. My machine does not have the series 2 stickers and so....Information technology could exist a serial 1. My serial number is similar, JJG019XXXX. Is there some where to cheque? I know that with car series numbers many of the digits mean specifics for the vehicle build, from engine and trans to paint, interior and options. Is there an explanation somewhere as to how Example formats serial numbers? Or do you lot need to be in a hole-and-corner club with special handshakes and initiation hazings??
  19. Initiation is that you have to give the machine abroad to someone who knows what it is. Then you'll know for next time to figure out what it is earlier buy. Some serial numbers don't necessarily get you the correct part numbers. An early on model change or late model before the change could have different parts than what the parts volume calls. I had a 1987 Ford Ranger that used a different steering arm than what the parts book called for. Information technology was close to when the change took identify. I've seen it on heavy equipment too.
  20. If your engine has an inline fuel injection pump it is a series 2.
If it has a rotary pump it is a 580Sl. They weren't called a series ane equally far as I know.
At that place are a lot of differences in the two models other than the IPs.
I think your automobile is a 1996 or early to mid 1997.
There actually isn't much, if any info. for year of manufacture and corresponding serial numbers bachelor to non-dealer folks like united states.
